Section 1: Titles
- The Board of Directors shall consist of the following elected positions: Executive Director, Director of Brotherhood, Director of Finance,
Director of Communication, Director of Advancement, and Director of Records.
Section 2: Duties
The Board of Directors shall:
- Be responsible for the general operations and finances of the FSAA;
- Be the voting body of the FSAA outside of the Annual Brotherhood Meetings;
- Ensure that the FSAA is operated in conformity with these Bylaws;
- Meet no less than quarterly at a time and place designated by the Executive Director;
- Adopt an annual budget;
- Coordinate the appointment of members to committees to ensure maximum participation of FSAA members;
- Establish appropriate accounts at a financial institution and
- Appoint ad hoc committees and Committee Chairs as necessary
Section 1: Executive Director
The Chairman of the Board of Directors shall:
- preside at meetings;
- coordinate the functions of all FSAA directors and committees;
- appoint replacement officers as vacancies occur;
- appoint Chairman of Elections at the Annual Brotherhood Meeting;
- be the liaison to the WCUAA Board of Directors
- in conjunction with the Director of Records, coordinate the FSAA website; and
- serve as an ex-officio member of all committees.
Section 2: director of Brotherhood
The Director of Brotherhood shall:
- plan and coordinate social and community service events;
- prepare and send an annual report of activities to the West Chester University Alumni Association Bylaws Committee by April 1st of each year; and
- preside at meetings in the absence of the Executive Director.
Section 3: Director of Finance
The Director of Finance shall:
- receive and disburse the funds of the FSAA;
- maintain an accurate record of all financial transactions of the FSAA;
- develop an annual budget for approval by the Board of Directors;
- ensure that the FSAA follows the approved annual budget;
- present a financial summary at all Board of Directors’ meetings; and
- submit financial records for auditing to the Board of Directors.
Section 4: Director of Advancement
The Director of Advancement shall:
- be responsible for all fundraising activities coordinated through the FSAA;
- be responsible for the application process for all available FSAA scholarships;
- be responsible for solicitation and disbursement of all scholarships funds; and
- present a list of all qualified scholarship applicants to the Board of Directors for the purpose of selecting a recipient.
Section 5: Director of Communication
The Director of Communication shall:
- send out a yearly newsletter to the members of the FSAA;
- send out notification to the members of the FSAA as to when and where meetings or events will be held;
- carry on necessary correspondence on behalf of the FSAA or the Board; and
- serve as a liaison between the Active Brotherhood and the FSAA;
Section 6: Director of Records
The Director of Records shall:
- maintain an accurate record of Meeting Minutes for all meetings
- keep an accurate record of the members of the FSAA and their contact information;
- in conjunction with the Executive Director, coordinate the FSAA website
- maintain an archive of minutes, service, and documentation associated with the FSAA; and
- present the year-in-review at each Annual Meeting.
