Section 1: Titles

    The Board of Directors shall consist of the following elected positions: Executive Director, Director of Brotherhood, Director of Finance, Director of Communication, Director of Advancement, and Director of Records.

Section 2: Duties
The Board of Directors shall:

  1. Be responsible for the general operations and finances of the FSAA;
  2. Be the voting body of the FSAA outside of the Annual Brotherhood Meetings;
  3. Ensure that the FSAA is operated in conformity with these Bylaws;
  4. Meet no less than quarterly at a time and place designated by the Executive Director;
  5. Adopt an annual budget;
  6. Coordinate the appointment of members to committees to ensure maximum participation of FSAA members;
  7. Establish appropriate accounts at a financial institution and
  8. Appoint ad hoc committees and Committee Chairs as necessary

Section 1: Executive Director
The Chairman of the Board of Directors shall:

  1. preside at meetings;
  2. coordinate the functions of all FSAA directors and committees;
  3. appoint replacement officers as vacancies occur;
  4. appoint Chairman of Elections at the Annual Brotherhood Meeting;
  5. be the liaison to the WCUAA Board of Directors
  6. in conjunction with the Director of Records, coordinate the FSAA website; and
  7. serve as an ex-officio member of all committees.

Section 2: director of Brotherhood
The Director of Brotherhood shall:

  1. plan and coordinate social and community service events;
  2. prepare and send an annual report of activities to the West Chester University Alumni Association Bylaws Committee by April 1st of each year; and
  3. preside at meetings in the absence of the Executive Director.

Section 3: Director of Finance
The Director of Finance shall:

  1. receive and disburse the funds of the FSAA;
  2. maintain an accurate record of all financial transactions of the FSAA;
  3. develop an annual budget for approval by the Board of Directors;
  4. ensure that the FSAA follows the approved annual budget;
  5. present a financial summary at all Board of Directors’ meetings; and
  6. submit financial records for auditing to the Board of Directors.

Section 4: Director of Advancement
The Director of Advancement shall:

  1. be responsible for all fundraising activities coordinated through the FSAA;
  2. be responsible for the application process for all available FSAA scholarships;
  3. be responsible for solicitation and disbursement of all scholarships funds; and
  4. present a list of all qualified scholarship applicants to the Board of Directors for the purpose of selecting a recipient.

Section 5: Director of Communication
The Director of Communication shall:

  1. send out a yearly newsletter to the members of the FSAA;
  2. send out notification to the members of the FSAA as to when and where meetings or events will be held;
  3. carry on necessary correspondence on behalf of the FSAA or the Board; and
  4. serve as a liaison between the Active Brotherhood and the FSAA;

Section 6: Director of Records
The Director of Records shall:

  1. maintain an accurate record of Meeting Minutes for all meetings
  2. keep an accurate record of the members of the FSAA and their contact information;
  3. in conjunction with the Executive Director, coordinate the FSAA website
  4. maintain an archive of minutes, service, and documentation associated with the FSAA; and
  5. present the year-in-review at each Annual Meeting.
